Dr. Thakkar graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, with a bachelor's degree in biology and minors in chemistry and psychology. He attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, and earned his medical degree. He then completed his internal medicine internship at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island in New York.
Dr. Thakkar completed his residency at the Jacobi and Montefiore Medical Centers in the Bronx, New York, in 1999. He served as chief resident for emergency medicine before moving to Texas. Dr. Thakkar was attending emergency medicine physician at the Medical Center of Arlington in Arlington, Texas, for 13 years.
Dr. Thakkar's expertise has helped thousands of patients with problems from joint and spine conditions to men's health and chronic pain.
In the past four years, he has focused on sexual health and wellness for men and women. Dr. Thakkar uses cutting-edge technologies to improve sexual wellness for individuals or couples. Since Dr. Thakkar has spent much of his life dealing with tragic situations, changing his focus to improving the quality of our ability to physically love our partners has reinvigorated his mission to help his patients lead their best lives.
Dr. Thakkar is a devoted family man who's married with two daughters. In addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Thakkar has a passion for photography, architecture, and travel. He enjoys being involved with and serving the Fort Worth and Arlington communities.
